Congratulations to all Latvian hockey fans on Latvia winning bronze at the 2023 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championship. It is, indeed, a very impressive achievement for a nation of 1.8 million people, demonstrating Latvian determination, resilience and incredible team spirit and drive!
Latvia's win in the World Ice Hockey championship provides valuable lessons and inspiration for other areas of Latvia's economy. Sign up and join us on Wednesday, June 14, at 10:00 for a NCCL Member meeting with Latvia's Minister of Education Ms. Anda Čakša to discuss her priorities and action plan in regards to education and science development in Latvia!
Topics to be addressed:
- Raising the quality of education in Latvia & addressing the current and future labor market needs
- Assessing the progress of education reforms in primary, secondary and higher education
- The role of education and R&D in Latvia's economic transition and increasing Latvia's competitiveness
The meeting will take place at the premises of the Ministry of Education and Science, located at Vaļņu iela 2 in Riga. Admission: NCCL Members only, registration required, no later than June 11.
